HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Kaole
Secondary School in Bagamoyo was established in 1976 to offer secondary
education from ordinary level (Form I-IV) to advanced level (Form V-VI), with
specialization in agriculture including both crop and livestock farming.
The
campus are buildings which Frelimo fighters led by Com. Samora Michael from
Mozambique used as their Offices base during their struiggle for independence
during Portugal rule. Other training at the school included vocational
education in various fields from carpentry to plumbing. The school, which is
located on Plot No. 2&3 of about 14.0 Ha (35.0 acres) of land southeast of
Bagamoyo town, was thence well equipped to offer such diverse secondary
education to the Tanzanian youth.
The
school is owned by the Trustees of Tanzania Parents Association (TAPA) under
the guardianship of the Secretary General. Until recently the TAPA's Secretary
General was responsible with management of Kaole Secondary School. However, the
Trustees of TAPA agreed to transfer management of the school to Hon. Dr.
Julian Martin.R. Bujugo of Dsm Green Acres International School Ltd in
order to see it refurbished and further developed by keeping its context of
being a centre of educational training.
After
verification of physical capacity and human resources facilities, Ministry of
Agriculture Food security and Cooperatives, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries
issued curiculla and Guidelines for Continous assessment and Semester
examinations for Certificate in general agriculture & animal health and
production. The College is recognized by National Council for Technical
education (NACTE).

Facilities
The college has well contructed Offices, Classrooms, Laboratories, Library, Information and Communication Technology room, Dinning hall and Dormitories. Others include . Land for demonstration and production, Livestock unit for training and production , recreation facilities, reliable source of water and electricity. Interms of Human resources the College has got well trained , qualified and experience teaching and supporting staff.
Location
Kaole College of agriculture (KCA) is located in South east Bagamoyo 3.5 km from Bagamoyo township in the premises of Kaole Secondary school. The centre is along the showers of the Indian Ocean.
